Chris Wraight

Chris Wraight is a writer of fantasy and science fiction. His first novel was published in 2008. Since then, he’s published books set in the Warhammer Fantasy, Warhammer 40K, Horus Heresy and Stargate:Atlantis universes.

Ian St. Martin

Ian St. Martin has written the Warhammer 40,000 novels Lucius: The Faultless Blade and Deathwatch: Kryptman’s War, along with the short stories ‘Adeptus Titanicus: Hunting Ground’, ‘City of Ruin’ and ‘In Wolves’ Clothing’ for Black Library. He lives and works in Washington DC, caring for his cat and reading anything within reach.

Alec Worley

Alec Worley is a well-known comics and science fiction and fantasy author, with numerous publications to his name. He is an avid fan of Warhammer 40,000 and has written many short stories for Black Library including ‘Stormseeker’, ‘Whispers’ and ‘Repentia’. He has recently forayed into Black Library Horror with the audio drama Perdition's Flame and his novella The Nothings, featured in the anthology Maledictions. He lives and works in London.

Justin D. Hill

Justin Hill was born in Freeport, Grand Bahama Island in 1971, and he grew up in Yorkshire, England. He was educated at St Peter's School, an independent school in York. As a member of St Cuthbert's Society, Durham University, he studied English Language and Medieval Literature. After graduating in 1993, he joined the British Army and served as an infantry officer in the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. He saw active service in Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Kosovo, and Iraq. He left the army in 2001 to write full-time. His first novel, The Poppy Field, was published in 2004.

Robbie MacNiven

Robbie MacNiven is a Scottish author and historian. His published fiction includes over a dozen novels, many fantasy or sci-fi works for IPs such as Marvel’s X-Men and Warhammer 40,000. He has also written two novellas, numerous short stories and audio dramas, has worked on narrative and character dialogue for multiple digital games (SMITE: Blitz and Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground), has written the colour text for multiple RPG rulebooks and has penned the scripts for two graphic novels and two comics, for Osprey Publishing and Commando Comics respectively. In 2022 his X-Men novel “First Team” won a Scribe Award. On the non-fiction front, Robbie specialises in Early Modern military history, particularly focussing on the 18th century. He has a PhD in American Revolutionary War massacres from the University of Edinburgh – where he won the Compton Prize for American History – and an MLitt in War Studies from the University of Glasgow. Along with numerous articles for military history magazines he has written five books on different aspects of the American Revolutionary War, four for Osprey Publishing and one for Helion Books. He has also written the scripts for nine episodes of the hit YouTube educational channel Extra Credits.

Ben Counter

Ben Counter (1979) is an English fantasy writer, predominantly known for his numerous fiction contributions to various Warhammer 40,000 series. He is also the writer for the Out of Place podcast, a work of serialized fiction with over two dozen episodes.

Cavan Scott

Cavan Scott (born 18 April 1973) is a New York Times bestselling comic writer and author. He is best known for his work on a variety of spin-offs from both Doctor Who and Star Wars, as well as comics and novels for Teen Titans, Black Adam, Ghostbusters, Transformers, Back to the Future, Vikings, Pacific Rim, Sherlock Holmes, and Penguins of Madagascar.

Josh Reynolds

Josh Reynolds is an author of over thirty novels and numerous short stories, including the wildly popular Warhammer: Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40,000. He grew up in South Carolina and now lives in Sheffield, UK.

Steve Lyons

Steve Lyons has written over thirty novels - and has also written extensively in other media, including audio/radio plays, talking books, comic strips and short stories. He has ‘worked with’ such popular characters as Doctor Who, the X-Men, Strontium Dog, Sapphire & Steel and the denizens of the Warhammer and Stargate universes - as well as creating his own. He has written non-fiction books about TV shows and films, contributed to many magazines and also worked as a script-editor and proof-reader. He lives in Salford, near Manchester, in the UK.

Rob Sanders

Rob Sanders is the author of the Horus Heresy novellas Cybernetica and The Serpent Beneath, the latter of which appeared in the New York Times bestselling anthology The Primarchs. His other Black Library credits include the The Beast Arises novels Predator, Prey and Shadow of Ullanor, the Warhammer 40,000 titles Sons of the Hydra, Skitarius, Tech-Priest, Legion of the Damned, Atlas Infernal and Redemption Corps and the audio drama The Path Forsaken. He has also written the Warhammer Archaon duology, Everchosen and Lord of Chaos, along with many short stories for the Horus Heresy and Warhammer 40,000. He lives in the city of Lincoln, UK.

L.J. Goulding

L.J. Goulding is a British novelist, scriptwriter, and editor who now works as a narrative director at Riot Games in Los Angeles. He is known for his extensive work on the Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer universes, particularly for the Black Library imprint, where he managed the Horus Heresy series. His work includes the novel Slaughter at Giant's Coffin, several audio dramas, and content for the League of Legends universe, such as the book Realms of Runeterra. Born in London, Goulding grew up in Burton-upon-Trent and later settled in Nottingham, where he became a full-time writer and editor in 2011. He lives and works in Los Angeles, California.

Peter Fehervari

As a full-time TV editor, Peter Fehervari's life is an eternity of cuts and mixes and the dreams of thirsting producers. When off-duty he frequents caves, abandoned churches and the occasional haunted asylum in pursuit of guerrilla filmmaking. He has been accused of being a fictional character, but insists he is strange but true.

Mike Brooks

Mike Brooks is the author of The God-King Chronicles epic fantasy series (THE BLACK COAST, THE SPLINTER KING and THE GODBREAKER); the Keiko series of grimy space-opera novels (DARK RUN, DARK SKY and DARK DEEDS); and various works for Games Workshop’s Black Library imprint, including BRUTAL KUNNIN, ALPHARIUS: HEAD OF THE HYDRA, and THE LION: SON OF THE FOREST. He was born in Ipswich, Suffolk, and moved to Nottingham to go to university when he was eighteen, where he still lives with his wife, cats, and snakes. He worked in the homelessness sector for fifteen years before going full-time as an author, plays guitar and sings in a punk band, and DJs wherever anyone will tolerate him. He is queer, and partially deaf (no, that occurred naturally, and a long time before the punk band).

Gav Thorpe

Gav Thorpe is a British author, game developer, and former games developer at Games Workshop, best known for his work in the Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 universes. He has written numerous novels for Black Library, including the Horus Heresy series, and is a New York Times bestselling author. He also won the 2017 David Gemmell Legend Award for his novel Warbeast.
